FROG Street Curriculum
Our goal is to ensure that your child is becoming the best version of themselves academically and generally speaking through their developmental growth at Lil One's Learning Center. We pride ourselves on the quality and attentiveness of the teacher-student interactions. Our learning center utilizes the FROG Street Curriculum in all classrooms tailored toward each specific age-group.

Approaches To Learning
Our learning center promotes problem-solving, attention, persistence and creativity. Children with optimistic or positive mindsets on learning will perform better academically while having more meaningful relationships with their peers. Although some of these abilities appear to come to kids naturally, research shows that these abilities can also be nurtured and improved upon through a positive, caring and high-quality learning experience.
Creative Arts
A Lil One’s Learning Center allows students to explore, discover and express themselves creatively through movement, musical, dramatic and visual arts. We believe that utilizing and promoting creative expressions complements children's cognitive development, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of the world around them. Additionally, using creative arts gives students the chance to express themselves in ways that promote the brain's development.
Mathematics
By using FROG Street Curriculum, students are introduced to mathematics through their daily activities. Math helps students better understand the world around them. Children learn how to navigate in their daily lives using numbers and shapes through math. By doing this, they are learning to reason, connect ideas and think critically overall. Our goal is that the students develop a more concrete experience and meaning of their environment.
Science & Technology
As the world becomes more digitized and evolved, we make it best practice to incorporate science and technology. By encouraging students to ask questions, observe, explore, compare, describe and evaluate, they learn the basics of the scientific method and how that can be applied to everyday life. Additionally, we motivate students to use all of their senses and pay close attention to the mechanisms they use to discover new things.
Social Studies
To help students become better citizens and expand their awareness of the world around them, we expose them to social studies. When kids join our program, they begin to build a sense of community outside of their immediate families. Through positive experiences, classroom activities and comprehension of basic geography, their view of the world evolves overall.
Language & Reading Comprehension
A Lil One’s Learning Center supports the growth of children’s listening, speaking, writing, and reading through regular expose to language and literacy opportunities. While research shows that students will continue to acquire language and literacy skills as they grow older, the basis of language, reading and writing skills are developed during their early years.
Physical Development
Our learning center offers a wide selection of physical development opportunities through regular recces time and tailored activities for fine and gross motor skills. Physical activities promote good health and well-being for children. We encourage students to make good nutritional choices, set standard health and safety practices and regularly engage in physical activity like sports or movement in general.
Social-Emotional
A Lil One’s Learning Center uses the CLASS Model as an excellent resource for encouraging social- emotional development. By using this tool, we hope to promote healthy social and emotional development in children by creating positive environments, developing meaningful relations, and fostering positive social and behavioral skills.
