Based in Baton Rouge and Walker, LA, A Lil One’s Learning Center is a family-owned and operated education facility that provides academically structured programs. Our learning center accommodates infants, toddlers, 3-4-year-olds, pre-k and kindergarten children. At our early childhood education center, our goal is for each child to enjoy the process of learning while encouraging them to be creative and have fun. We offer low student/teacher ratios that allow our certified teachers to focus on each child's individual learning styles and needs at our center.

Highly Trained Teachers: Many of our Teachers have obtained their Child Development Associate credentials through local colleges. All teachers are fully trained and certified in CPR, First Aid, Health & Safety, and obtaining continuing education clock hours annually.
Partnering With Families: Our teachers and staff are passionate about forming a strong partnership with you to ensure the best possible experience for your child. Teachers provide daily communication with families and seek to understand you and your child's unique needs.
Researched & Self-Paced Learning Curriculum
A Lil One’s uses a research-based curriculum, Frog Street, that lines up with the birth to Five standards. All A Lil One's centers are actively involved in providing and meeting the Department of Education's educational set. Our learning objectives focus on the following:

A Lil One's uses an online assessment tool known as Teaching Strategies Gold. Our teachers document and assess our children's growth and learning in direct correlation to the above-mentioned learning objectives.
About Our Founder
A Lil One's Learning Center opened its first location in June of 1981. It is owned and operated by Teri Gomez. Mrs. Gomez has a degree in elementary and early childhood education and has completed graduate studies in special education. Through the years, the business has grown to match Teri’s personal life. Along with running five childcare centers, Teri and her husband Randy are the parents of six children. As a working mom, she understands parents' concerns in wanting the best possible care and education for their children. A Lil One’s firmly believes that children need a loving, stable environment. Because of our intense commitment to creating a family environment, an A Lil One’s teacher's average length of employment is approximately four years.
